Welcome to our new question of the day- I'm hoping that this will help both students and their parents to remember to check out our web-page on a regular basis throughout the week. Every day I will be posting a question to the children through this web-page. If they are able to respond to the question each morning their names will be entered in our weekly draw on Fridays. I am still working on recording the stories onto a CD or a DVD. I am experiencing many technical difficulties but am staying positive about the results. Language The students are finding links to texts and printing their sentences in their journals. Home Reading Program Please remember to allow your son or daughter to print the title of their home reader in the yellow duo-tang, and practise each new text three or four times before sending back to school. We are going to be starting a unit on procedural wrinting in combination with the other grade 1 French Immersion classes and our Librarian Mrs. Brouse. Math We continue to learn about subtraction but we are also practising telling time to the hour and half hour. Ask your child the term for noon and midnight instead of saying 12 O'Clock. |
